If you're the sort who likes visiting places where only the locals know about, you'll love this list provided by Vivian Danbi Yu, a South Korean entrepreneur who recently opened Bella K-Beauty House in Singapore. The salon, located at #01-04 1 Nassim Road, is helmed by celebrity hairstylist Gunhee who has worked with K-pop stars like Super Junior, 4 Minute, and JYJ.

When asked for her list of recommended places to visit in Seoul, Vivian says, "These five spots are the trendiest, must-go places in Seoul right now. Word gets around really fast in Seoul so it's pretty hard to keep a good place under wraps."

10 Corso Como is a clothing shop, cafe, and museum all in one place so it's great for people who want to shop, have something light to eat, and admire artwork all at the same time.

2. Boontheshop

Boontheshop is a premium fashion retailer that gathers all the finest brands together - similar to Singapore's Club 21! Perfect for some retail therapy.

3. Cheongdam Yetnal Jib means "old house" (there's no English name for this shop)

If you want to have authentic Korean food, this is the place to go! All dishes come in a set here. In Korea, most Korean restaurants would serve a variety of side dishes. My favourite set here would be the Tarako (Salted Roe) Set.

4. PP Seoul

PP Seoul is a rooftop cafe with a stunning view of the city. Recommended for couples! PP Seoul serves a variety of coffee, snacks, and desserts but I highly recommend the Thai Coffee and Cheesecake.

5. Buona Sera

Buona Sera is a fine dining restaurant by Korean celebrity chef Sam Kim. Buona Sera only serves set meals at lunch and at dinner, and the items change seasonally. Head on over and be surprised by Chef Kim's culinary chops!

650-1 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea, Tel: +82 2-543-6668

Vivian says, "While it is possible to navigate to these places via public transport, taking a cab might be the best option. I recommend showing your driver the addresses in Korean since Korean and English address formats are different."

Have fun!
