Most of us have heard certain tips about travelling, but some of the most common suggestions may not be so great after all. Here are five things to avoid when you head out on your next trip.
1. Packing too much
It's easy to stock up on missed items at your destination. Don't be afraid to be a minimalist!
2. Skipping travel agents
You'll save money on the up front when you don't hire a travel agent, but you'll save money and time on a vacation if an agent helps with prep.
3. Buying a roaming plan
Purchasing a local SIM card when you get there is worth the savings.
4. Sticking only to tourist spots
Some places get an unfair reputation for being dangerous - research first so you can safely travel anywhere and enjoy a rewarding trip.
5. Taking one credit card
Play it safe by bringing a back-up and alert credit card companies of travel.
