Here's a suggested six-day itinerary you can take to explore the island paradise:

Day 1: Arrive at Nadi International Airport
Stay on resort island Denarau, the largest integrated resort in the South Pacific. The accommodation is less than 10km from Nadi International Airport and opens to gorgeous beaches.
There is also an 18-hole golf course on the resort grounds for those who want some quiet practice time.
Day 2: Have a drink or two at Cloud 9

Cloud 9 is Fiji's only two-level floating platform with an internationally stocked bar and an Italian wood-fired pizzeria.
This unique venue has a surround sound system, sun decks, hanging chairs and day beds.
Thereafter, sail to Port Denarau for a sunset dinner by the waterfront.
Day 3: Explore Fiji's diverse landforms
Travel down the Sigatoka River on a safari jet boat to visit villages in the forested interior. Get to know the locals and join them in a kava ceremony.
Kava is Fiji's national drink, often offered to guests as a symbolic gesture of welcome.
Head over to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park after the boat ride for a history lesson.

Strap onto a zip line for a thrilling alternative to see the island. Zip Fiji offers ziplining tours in caves, canyons and even through mountaintops. This activity is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
Once your heart is back in your chest, learn to whip up a delicious local meal. Hosts from Flavours of Fiji will be on hand to guide you through the steps and make sure that you don't steal any morsels before serving time.
Day 5: Island-hopping aroun the Mamanuca Islands
The Mamanucas are a chain of 20 islands near Nadi and Denarau. These islands offer parasailing, windsurfing, dolphin watching, world class dive spots and some of the best surf breaks in the world.
Stay the night at Castaway Resort Island, where you can enjoy some exclusivity in a stylishly designed thatched wood hut.
Day 6: One last nautical adventure
With the beach at your doorstep, simply dive in for some early morning snorkelling or go on a glass bottom boat trip to view the island's pristine corals.
Then it's time to say goodbye and head back to the airport.
