If you haven't booked a hotel for your trip to Japan yet, don't worry. With HotelQuickly, a last-minute hotel booking app, it's not too late to get suitable accommodation for your stay in the Land of the Rising Sun.

That's because HotelQuickly has recently added Japan to its list of available destinations, bringing the total destinations to 16.

Its entry into the Japanese market comes with the acquisition of Japan's domestic booking app, Tonight.

According to user feedback, Japan is one of the top three countries to visit this year, HotelQuickly co-founder and COO Christian Mischler said.

"Recently relaxed visa requirements, as well as more affordable flights between Tokyo and our current markets is making spontaneous travel to Japan easier and more irresistible than ever," he added.

HotelQuickly offers a choice of 400 hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

There are plans to add over 25 destinations and 1,000 partner hotels in Japan by end of this year.

The app is being translated into Japanese, which will become HotelQuickly's 10th supported language.

The app, which offers mobile-only discounts on rooms within a seven-day booking window, has over two million downloads to date, and caters to last-minute leisure and business travellers, flashpackers and impromptu getaways. It offers over 12,000 hotels in 300 destinations.

The free app can be downloaded on Google Play and iTunes App Store.

It's cherry blossom season and what better time to visit Japan!
