Robot bartenders make and serve cocktails onboard Singapore's largest new cruise ship

SINGAPORE - Robot bartenders, virtual balconies and a capsule above the waves.

These are what guests on board Singapore's largest and smartest cruise ship, the Ovation of the Seas, can expect.

AsiaOne went onboard the new cruise and here's a video of what you can experience on the brand new liner.

Royal Caribbean International's billion-dollar smartship sailed into Singapore's waters for the very first time on June 8.

Ovation of the Seas will kick off its maiden Singapore tour with a three-night trip as part of its 52-night inaugural "Global Odyssey". She will be christened in Tianjin, China on June 24, 2016 by Chinese actress, Fan Bing Bing.

Ovation of the Seas is the largest cruise ship docked in Singapore - at 347 metres, her length is almost double the height of Marina Bay Sands, and at 168,666 gross registered tonnes (GRT).

With 2,090 staterooms, Ovation of the Seas can accommodate more people than Raffles Hotel, the Fullerton Bay Hotel, the Intercontinental, and Hilton in Singapore combined.

The massive interior is also staffed by 1,500 crew, more than the total crew on board 55 Airbus A380 aircraft.

Ovation of the Seas' first-at-sea features and technologies include, an observation capsule - "North Star"; "Bionic Bar" where cocktails are made and served by robots; and a $18.5 million hi-tech entertainment venue "Two70", which creates scenes through its dynamic Roboscreens and transformative glass walls for a multidimensional performance.

If you're up for some thrilling activities, you can even go skydiving and surfing, as well as visit "SeaPlex", the largest indoor activity space at sea, which includes everything from bumper cars to even a circus school.

Guests on board the cruise will be more connected than any other cruise ship, with speeds that match fast broadband connections onshore, allowing them to stay online 24/7 - even in the middle of the ocean.

On top of its smart features, the ship has 18 restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines, including Jamie's Italian by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
