42-year-old local actress Carole Lin welcomes new baby daughter after C-section

Local actress Carole Lin has given birth to a baby daughter at Mount Elizabeth Hospital two days ago (Aug 19).

Lin and husband David have named their new princess 'Brooklyn'.

Said the 42-year-old actress after giving birth:

"David and I are excited to announce the birth of our beautiful daughter, Brooklyn Lim, today (Aug 19). Brooklyn was born on 19 August 2015, at 6plus in the evening, weighing a healthy 3kg at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. The delivery was via C-section due to low amniotic fluid and I am recovering well.

"We would like to thank everyone for their well wishes, love and support, and the entire Mount Elizabeth team for making my stay at the hospital as comfortable as possible. Everything from their excellent service, nourishing confinement food, to the attentive care and cosy environment, is making my recuperation experience a lot better than I had expected.

"We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr Ann Tan who is undoubtedly a great and very experienced obstetrician. As a first-time mother, I was naturally a little nervous but was reassured knowing that she and the team of nurses were always there to guide me.

"We appreciate all the advice and recommendations offered by our friends and family; and with chiropractic care by my husband, I truly enjoyed a healthy and smooth pregnancy. We have been eagerly looking forward to embarking on the special journey, and are so happy that little Brooklyn is finally here. She is such a blessing to us and we hope that she will be a blessing to the people around her as well."
