SEXY SPRING

Tom Ford always has a vision of his own; his daring aesthetic is again clear in the new spring collection.

While every other make-up brand is churning out bright shades or soft pastels to mark spring, Ford goes the other way with dark and sexy tones.

1. Tom Ford Eye Colour Duos palette

Look out for the limited edition Eye Colour Duos ($85 each) that were inspired by 70s rock; in plum, olive and indigo.

Each palette comes with a deep shade and a complementary shimmering highlighting colour.

For a stylish make-up look, contrast the eye colours with the Extreme Mascara ($65), available in teal and plum; and the Nail Lacquer ($48), that comes in iridescent jade and indigo.

FIT FOR A PRINCESS

Fairytales are not just for little girls.

At least, according to two cosmetic brands that have released Cinderella-themed collections to tie in with Disney's new movie.

2. Kose Sekkisei 30th Anniversary Limited Edition BB Cream Kit

$39, from Kose counters

This set includes a 30g tube of White BB Cream and a 35ml bottle of Clear Cleansing Oil.

It also marks the 30th anniversary of the brand's skin-brightening Sekkisei range.

3. M.A.C Cinderella collection

From $33 for a lipstick to $80 for a six-shadow palette, at M.A.C counters

If Cinderella had another ball to go to, she would certainly have worn this 16-piece collection of pearlescent, shimmery neutral-coloured make-up.

QUICK-FIX GEL

4. Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel

A new moisturiser for calming stressed skin has been added to Shiseido's Ibuki line, which is targeted at women in their early 20s to early 30s.

Called the Multi Solution Gel ($57, from Shiseido counters), it is made to balance skin that is troubled and dehydrated from stress, late nights and a hectic lifestyle.

The refreshing gel formula contains skin barrier strengthening trehalose and horse chestnut seed extract, as well as salycylic acid and peony root extract to soothe breakouts.
