Beauty resolutions for 2016: Hair

For the series' final installation this week, we focus on: Hair

Oil-infused beauty products are all the rage now because of their bountiful benefits.

Thankfully, hair products are not forgotten.

Cosmetics giants such as L'Oreal have come up with oil-infused shampoos that are also part of their Sulfate-Free System range.

When it comes to all-natural ingredients, coconut oil seems to have taken centrestage.

There are several ways for us to incorporate coconut oil into our hair routine as it is incredibly nourishing when used as a deep leave-in conditioner. You can also use coconut oil to tame frizzy hair, promote hair growth, treat dandruff and even as a styling agent.

Hair is also prone to sun damage but since coconut oil works as a natural sunscreen, it helps protect our tresses.

If you think the oil is too rich on your hair, there are several coconut oil-based products out in the market to choose from.

The humidity in Singapore makes it all the more difficult for us to constantly have tame manes.

Those born with naturally fine and straight hair, lucky you!

Before turning to your heat styling tools to take control of your frizzy 'do, remember to use heat protectant sprays to minimise the appearance of split ends and to prevent damaged hair.

Finally, if you wash your hair only on alternate days, there is a good range of dry shampoos to invest in so that you don't walk around with oily-looking hair. That's taking the term "oil-infused" a little too far.
