A 65-YEAR-OLD woman's dream of taking bridal photos with her boyfriend was shattered after she was injured in a hit-and-run accident, reported Guang Ming Daily.
Lee Kim Ean, from Mak Mandin in Penang, said she and her boyfriend had planned to have their bridal shots on Feb 8 but she met with the accident the night before while riding a motorcycle.
She said a car had knocked down her motorcycle at a road junction near the Mak Mandin flats.
"Two of the toes on my right foot were injured but the driver did not stop to help me. I was sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital by my daughter after a doctor at a clinic advised me to seek treatment at the hospital. I received four stitches on my toes.
"But my right foot became swollen after that and my daughter took me to a specialist centre for an X-ray. The doctor found out that I had fractured toes," she told the daily.
"I was looking forward to celebrating Chinese New Year and to completing my bridal shots but now, my dreams have been shattered," she added.
Lee, who has been divorced for 10 years, said she met her boyfriend two years ago.
It was not reported if they had fixed the date for their wedding.
