Buy tissues and help victims of domestic abuse

SINGAPORE - Kickstart the season of giving early by purchasing packets of tissues from Watsons, and you could help women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

Partnering students from LaSalle College of the Arts, beauty and health retailer Watsons has launched a series of limited edition tissue boxes, mini hankies and travel tissue packs.

The boxes and packets are emblazoned with the students' artwork, which embodies the theme, "Colours of Hope".

Watsons aims to raise $10,000 through the sale of these items, which retails between $2 to $4.50.

The funds will go towards furthering programmes such as art therapy and counselling sessions at Star Shelter, a charity dedicated to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and homeless due to family crises.
