SCOTTS CELEBRATES SG50

Exciting things are happening at Scotts Square mall. Harper's Bazaar magazine is holding two exhibitions at the mall from now till May 3.

To celebrate the nation's 50th anniversary, a series of fashion images have been shot at unexpected locations around Singapore (for example, the main photo above) and put on display at the entrance of Scotts Square.

Works from the Singaporean finalists of the 2015 Harper's Bazaar Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Awards are now also ready for viewing at the atrium of Scotts Square.

Both exhibitions are free.

Keep your eyes peeled on the mall for the rest of the year, as new stores are expected to open by the third quarter of this year.

These include British luxury brand Alexander McQueen and Belgian leathergoods brand Delvaux.

NET CHLOE EXCLUSIVES

French luxury brand Chloe's exclusive capsule collection for luxury e-tailer Net-A-Porter is now on sale.

Get into the holiday mood with this 19-piece capsule collection consisting of ready-to-wear items, shoes, jewellery and swimwear, which was inspired by the carefree spirit of the Mediterranean.

RAD SNEAKERS

American womenswear label Rodarte is known for its artistic creations, while Superga is famed for its classic canvas sneakers - and the union of the two has resulted in kicks with faux python leather and a netted overlay.

The shoes are available for US$253 (S$344.89) at the Club 21 online shop: bit.ly/1DOQ1nV.

MAKEOVER TIPS

The shopping mall Jem, in Jurong East, will be holding workshops on April 25 and 26 at Level 1 Jem Atrium, from 2pm to 4pm on both days.

The experts conducting the two-hour hands-on fashion and beauty classes include make-up artist Clarence Lee and stylist Keith Png. Registration for the workshop is now full, but you can still gather at the atrium to glean some tips.

If you are unable to watch the workshops in action, the experts and model-actress Sheila Sim will also be sharing their favourite fashion and beauty trends at the mall's atrium tomorrow and Sunday, from 4pm.

For more goodies, turn to page 14 and check out the Mother's Day Makeover Contest voting ad. Voters stand to win $4,500 worth of Jem shopping vouchers.

KEEPING UP WITH KENDALL

Touted as the "girl of the moment" by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, Kendall Jenner's modelling career keeps rising.

The 19-year-old has just scored a campaign for the Calvin Klein Jeans #mycalvins Denim Series, a limited-edition, logo-driven collection inspired by urban streetwear.

Offering an assortment of items from T-shirts to jeans, the collection will be available from May 1 at the Calvin Klein Jeans Paragon store. Prices range from $129 for a cropped sleeveless T-shirt to $449 for a denim jacket.

"I've been a fan of Calvin Klein. The underwear is amazing. Honestly, I wear it every night to sleep and I wear it every day," says Jenner, in a pre-written interview with the brand, who rose to fame with her family on the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

CULT DENIM LABELS

Club Monaco has added two cult denim labels to its offerings.

It now stocks selected items from LA-based labels Mother and Citizens of Humanity. Mother is known for its super-soft fabrics, while pieces from Citizens of Humanity have been seen on a whole slew of celebrities, including Rihanna, Beyonce, and Cate Blanchett.

Prices range from $419 to $619 for Citizens of Humanity jeans. Club Monaco is stocking only one item from Mother - a $569 jacket.
