Fashion Steps Out returns to Orchard Road this month

Fashionistas, get ready for your close-up because Samsung Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2016 (FSO) is back this year for a six-week extravaganza from March 25 to May 8.

Event organiser Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) announced in a statement on Friday (Mar 11) that FSO 2016 will be re-joined by Samsung as the festival's official technology partner. The brand is also launching its latest Samsung Galaxy S7 4G+ and S7 edge 4G+ in conjunction with the fashion event.

The event is set to impress Orchard Road visitors with a slew of activities that include fashion installations, MasterCard shopping promotions and of course, the signature runway show.

Touted as Singapore's longest fashion catwalk, the stretch between Scotts Road and Bideford Road will be closed to vehicular traffic to make way for the extended fashion runway just like how it was in previous FSO editions.

Curated by renowned fashion show producer and consultant Daniel Boey, the runway show is the festival's curtain raiser.

For the first time, more than a dozen homegrown as well as regional personalities, influencers and artistes will join the catwalk. They include homegrown singer JJ Lin, VJ Daniel from Indonesia, Philippines personality Laureen Uy, Singapore model Sheila Sim and more.

One of the labels to look out for at the event is Asian pop icon Jay Chou's PHANTACi, which will be making its debut at the fashion show.
