Fine Mist

Imagine a gadget that dispenses a fine face mist that tightens and moisturises the skin and subtly lifts facial contours immediately.

Sounds implausible, but new gadget Plosion by Japanese health and beauty gizmo manufacturer MTG aims to do just that.

The secret lies in the high concentration of carbonic acid in the fine mist, which supposedly penetrates deep into the skin and widens blood vessels, so both the lymphatic system and the blood flow are given a boost. As a result, the face is supposed to look instantly slimmer. The effects last up to eight hours.

The Plosion starter kit - which includes a carbonic acid cartridge and two 13ml bottles of Face Essential Lotion - is priced at $399.
