Freebies and discounts for ION Orchard Link's opening weekend

SINGAPORE - Shoppers can look forward to special promotions and discounts at the ION Orchard Link this weekend.

The 35-metre underground walkway between Orchard Road and Scotts Road was officially opened on Tuesday (April 21).

Over two weekends, from April 24 to 26 and May 1 to 3, shoppers can look forward to promotions at shops at the new linkway.

Lucky shoppers spotted at stores at ION Orchard Link will also receive goodie bags containing freebies and vouchers. For a limited period, goodie bag holders can quench their thirst with a special ION Orchard concoction when they present a promo tag, included in their goodie bags, at a pop-up bar set up beside footwear store, Rubi Shoes.

Alternatively, shoppers who present a same-day shopping receipt from ION Orchard of any amount may also redeem the drink.

In addition, from April 27 to 30, shoppers can enjoy 20 per cent off purchases at participating ION Orchard Link stores. Shoppers can also take part in ION Orchard's Treasure Hunt contest on Facebook from April 24 to 30 for a chance to win shopping vouchers.

The new stores on both sides of ION Orchard Link at basement two include Redeye, Metaphor, Owndays, Yankee Candle, VDL Cosmetics and by month's end, Lovisa, 7-Eleven and Selectiv' by Sasa.

Along with the new link's opening, ION Orchard will have other new stores and revamps as it ushers in the Spring season.

Leather goods brand Diane Von Furstenberg at level one will move to a larger space at level three. The new store will be unveiled by Ms Diane Von Furstenberg herself and will feature a wrap dress lounge and a collection of wrap styles including dresses, gowns, jumpsuits and rompers.

Mr Chris Chong, Chief Executive Officer of Orchard Turn Developments, said: "ION Orchard is excited to welcome Ms Diane von Furstenberg and her new flagship boutique. The brand joins ION Orchard's stable of flagship and desired luxury fashion boutiques. The new store not only offers the complete range of designs as its stores in New York, it showcases them in a more spacious setting."

Besides Diane Von Furstenberg, luxury brand Louis Vuitton will be expanding its flagship store for a new concept.

ION Orchard is also unveiling new F&B concepts such as Saveur Art, Gyoza-ya and JANICE WONG Sweets Boutique, as well as the first Singapore store of American artisanal skincare label, Fresh.
