Sanrio's iconic feline character Hello Kitty made news two months ago when the brand revealed that it was not quite a cat.

Cat or not, the cartoon character's 40th anniversary is being celebrated by local jeweller Poh Heng, with its Pretty Please collection of four Hello Kitty pendants.

Pictured above is the signature piece from the collection, featuring diamonds and pink sapphires, which costs $2,800.

Prices start from $390 for a pendant in yellow gold. Available at all Poh Heng stores.
