Groom sweeps bride off her feet, then drops her

Groom sweeps bride off her feet. Groom accidentally drops bride. Not quite the script for romance, but a dramatic home-video has slowly gained traction online after it was posted on YouTube more than two weeks ago.

It has been viewed more than 226,000 times as of Friday (Oct 31).

In the clip, the groom, Mr Chad Kannard, is seen entering the garden party wedding venue with his bride, Ms Julia Magdaleno.

Mr Kannard enthusiastically carries her up and proceeds to run towards the guests standing behind the camera, but to the horror of their family and friends, he trips, sending them both spilling onto the concrete path.

A collective gasp and exclamations could be heard as the pair took a tumble, but a red-faced Mr Kannard recovers quickly to pick himself and Ms Magdaleno off the ground, continuing his walk to the party, albeit at a much slower pace.

In an interview with ABC News, Mrs Magdaleno said both ended up with minor cuts on their arms, but were unharmed otherwise.

"I was kind of sore the next day but, I mean, when you fall onto cement, of course you're going to be sore," said Ms Magdaleno.

Thankfully, the bride was laughing throughout the whole experience, and even more miraculously, managed to hold on to her bridal bouquet the entire time.

She told ABC News: "I was like 'go figure,' like, I'm so type A where I need to, like, make sure everything's planned out and this one moment where I just let it go, what you think would be the worst thing possible happened, but I got up and I was laughing so hard. I thought it was, like, the best thing that's ever happened."

One thing she couldn't believe, is that it was her mother who had uploaded the 17-second clip online, and how many views the video has gotten. But on the upside, Ms Magdaleno says, "it is something me and my friends and family will never ever forget."
