Jack Wills arrives in Singapore with colour-popping Spring collection

SINGAPORE - If you are trying to brighten up your wardrobe this festive season but feel uninspired, look no further because British label Jack Wills has arrived on our shores and might just offer what you need.

The Spring '15 collection is packed full of energy with the right amount of colour pops.

To celebrate its launch, the British brand showcased their latest collection with a fashion show held at the Luxe Art Museum on Feb 5.

Besides the catwalk, there was also a tote-making station as well as post-show entertainment provided by homegrown musical band The Sam Willows.

Fashionistas in attendance that night include the likes of fashion director Daniel Boey, MediaCorp actor Keagan Kang, to name a few.

What makes this season's collection significant is that it marks the debut of London-based designer Richard Nicoll as the Creative Director for Jack Wills.

Wendy Becker, CEO of Jack Wills, said: "Richard's arrival shows how far Jack Wills has come - and indicates our ambition as we grow our brand and expand into new territories."

Nicoll provides his signature clean lines and modernist classics for this collection without compromising what the brand prides itself on - being timeless and uniquely British.

In a statement to the press, Nicoll said: "I'm excited to be working with Jack Wills, this is an opportunity to take a successful British design aesthetic and to employ some new and interesting ideas to their trajectory that bring a separate experience and challenge for me from my own label."

This season's collection takes on a youthful theme with Nicoll's aesthetic touch on colour, fit and silhouette, said the brand's British marketing team.

The brand aims to create clothes not just for young adults but for anyone that appreciates what it means to be youthful.

Nicoll managed to inject youthful fun and playfulness into his pieces for Jack Wills by making them wearable and appealing for people of a wide variety of ages.

Some of the standout pieces include colour-blocked anoraks, a bubblegum pink trenchcoat and even an optical rugby dress inspired by British fashion icon, Twiggy.

Jack Wills is now available at #01-19 Raffles City Shopping Centre.
