Japanese pampering at Branche

Japanese luxury hair and nail salon Branche has set up shop at the new mall, Capitol Piazza.

The Nagoya-based salon chain is known for its attention to customer service. The highlights of this 1,400 sq ft salon include a private VIP room with a reclinable automated chair that transports you straight to the basin for a hair wash and back; hair treatments that soften and smoothen hair in 60 minutes; and a bar offering free coffee by Japanese coffee-roaster Kawakami Atsuki, champagne, matcha latte and fruit tisane.

What impressed Life were the manicure and nail art services rendered by nail technician Safori Asai. Using the Paragel gel polish - from Japan - which is supposedly less damaging on the nails, Ms Asai's artwork was detailed and refined.

Prices start from $100 for a haircut and from $100 for a gel polish manicure.

Branche also stocks its in-house line of Cristalnoe and Rajunina haircare and skincare products.
