Jay Chou releases wedding videos, likely to spend honeymoon in Britain

Taiwanese singer Jay Chou broke the hearts of his female fans all over the world when he married his girlfriend of four years, Hannah Quinlivan, in Britain last Saturday afternoon.

Chou, who seems to be rather fond of Britain, not only proposed to his 21-year-old wife there, the newlyweds are likely to be spending their honeymoon in Britain as well.

But perhaps for reasons not so romantic.

The Mandopop king has to remain in the English country to shoot the thriller sequel Now You See Me: The Second Act. Hong Kong's Apple Daily said that his model wife will stay with him and be his interpreter.

This is the second time Chou, 36, has travelled to Britain for work. In 2010, he starred alongside The Interview's Seth Rogen in the action move, The Green Hornet, and did a publicity tour in Britain with the cast. Taiwan's Apple Daily reportedly said that Chou had like it there and quotes by his friends revealed that he has a plans to buy a home in Britain.

Taiwan's Apple Daily also pointed out that Chou's love affair with Britain started long ago when he featured the London landscape in his music video, Twilight's Chapter Seven (2006). Six years later, he travelled to Edinburgh to film the music video, Big Ben.

Despite his experience onstage, Chou was a little nervous during the private wedding ceremony, Chou's agent, Yang Chun-jung told CCTV.

"Chou seemed a little bit nervous. He was busy and happy," CCTV quoted Chou's agent, Yang Chun-jung, as saying.

Shanghaiist reported that Chou had hired a 20-member live orchestra to perform a song which he composed for the occasion.

Yang added that the wedding was pushed back from 1.30pm to 3.30pm as Chou was specially detailed with the arrangements.

"Although it took a long time for the rehearsal, he was very satisfied with the orchestra," Yang said.

China Times said that Chou's wish for a low profile, paparazzi-free wedding and the absence of his JVR Music publicists tied in with his plans to not make the wedding trip feel like work.

Following the release of his pre-wedding shots and snippets of his wedding ceremony on Facebook over the weekend, the superstar also released two wedding videos on YouTube and Weibo on Monday.

The Straits Times reported that one of them, titled Jay Chou & Hannah's Wedding Moment @ Selby Abbey, shows the church procession and intimate moments such as the bride walking in with her father and the groom kissing his bride.

The other, posted on Weibo, shows Chou throwing Quinlivan's bouquet to his friends.
