Jesseca Liu wants to go back in time and be a better student

If TV actress Jesseca Liu had one super-power, it would be to travel through time. Why? So that she can study harder as a student.

In her upcoming television series Accidental Agents, she plays a bomb disposal expert who has the ability to read people's minds.

But in real life, Jesseca wants nothing more than to be able to time-travel back to her school days and be a better student.

The Langkawi-born beauty revealed in a My Paper interview that her academic results were less-than-stellar, and History, which she often failed, was her worst subject.

She recalls her teacher and mum telling her "actually, you are an intelligent child," hence the 36-year-old entrepreneur believes she could have done better if she had put her heart into her studies.

Jesseca, who studied interior design for two years before becoming an actress, says if a showbiz career had not beckoned, she would probably be an interior designer.

But it seems it's never too late to learn, as the 36-year-old reveals she has started reading again as she believes it "widens one's horizons". She also doesn't rule out pursuing further studies overseas in the future.

Despite wanting to travel through time, Jesseca doesn't wish to get a glimpse into the future. She says: "The future is what we make of it. I was too preoccupied with living in the future last time, and ignored what was happening right before me." She says she now knows the importance of 'seizing the moment'.

As to which historical period she would love to visit most, Jesseca singles out 1798 France, to witness the French Revolution.

She joked that she "would like to change history", before adding that she would like to understand and witness the historical events that unfolded at that time.
