Longchamp's frightful collection

Longchamp's frightful collection

American designer Jeremy Scott's latest collection for Longchamp is not for the faint-hearted.

Gruesome yet gorgeous, these Le Pliage bags were inspired by Madballs - the toy rubber balls with frightful faces, which were a hit in the 1980s.

Scott is no stranger to making art out of low-brow subjects.

His debut collection for Italian fashion house Moschino, which was shown in February, featured accessories emblazoned with McDonald's golden arches and evening gowns printed with candy wrappers.

His eponymous label has included everything from trash bags to pizza-print dresses.

The two designs from the Madballs collection are available at Longchamp stores for $521 each.
