Louboutin lacquer

The world's most famous red-soled shoe brand Christian Louboutin has launched its beauty arm, Christian Louboutin Beaute.

Its first product? Rouge Louboutin, a nail polish shade inspired by the brand's iconic scarlet soles. On Sept 1, an additional 30 shades will hit the shelves. In Asia, the nail polish range is currently available only in Hong Kong boutiques at HK$450 (S$72).

Like many of the brand's shoes, the nail polish bottles are just as show-stopping. Each comes topped with an 8-inch spike cap, the same height as the heel of Louboutin's highest heel design, the Ballerina Ultima.

The lacquer is also free of common harmful ingredients found in some nail polish: formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate.
