Who would be strutting down a catwalk to show off clothes from Chanel, Prada and Burberry?
You'd think it was a supermodel, but in fact it was a two-year-old Chinese girl.
A post-90s mother held a fashion show in a hotel to celebrate her daughter's birthday in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province on April 29, cfp.cn reported.
The clothes, worth nearly 1 million yuan (S$214,773), were bought overseas in the US, South Korea and other places over the last two years, according to the mother.
"I want my daughter to have a better life," she said.
According to Shanghaiist, the pair walked down the runway together with clothes from branded labels like Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Armani and Prada.
Among the pieces, a mink coat and Dior children’s purse cost over 100,000 yuan (S$21,477).
Sina website reported that the catwalk show was a special birthday gift to the little girl, according to the mother.
And it was "not so extravagant" as she and the girl’s father organised the event all by themselves.
The parents built the stage on their own, and borrowed the venue, a hotel meeting room, from a friend.
