Mug in sink makes Joanne Peh miss husband and cry

A relaxed and radiant Joanne Peh was all smiles during the Star Awards Show 2 on Sunday with actor-husband Qi Yuwu by her side.
The 32-year-old proudly showed off her baby bump in public for the first time and snagged the Best Supporting Actress and Top 10 Most Popular Female Artist awards.
But the emotional expectant mum was in tears the very next day when the China-born Qi, 38, left for China for work.
"I wasn't sad. I just miss him as he had to fly off for three weeks," Peh said in Mandarin.
"I held back my tears while sending him off at the airport, but I started crying when I got home."
Peh, who is six months pregnant, was speaking to local media yesterday at the press conference for her Channel 8 drama Mind Games, which premieres on May 7 at 9pm.
In the action thriller, which also stars Paige Chua and Tay Ping Hui, Peh plays An Ni, the righteous leader of a crime squad who is very involved in her job.
Filming took place in Malaysia between May and September last year and Peh flew back to Singapore for her Sept 9 wedding in the middle of filming.
Peh, who does not want to reveal the baby's gender yet, said she has become more emotional since becoming pregnant and she cries at the slightest thing.
"I returned home from the airport and saw an unwashed mug in the sink. It reminded me of him and that's when the tears came," she said.
"I am very easily touched these days."
To prepare for the birth of her baby in August, Peh has been going for active birthing classes as well as prenatal pilates and yoga lessons.
She also said she is excited about the delivery.
In January, she stopped taking on acting projects and this prematernity break has been a welcome reprieve from her hectic filming schedule.

She said: "I wake up naturally at whatever time I want to and do things that I want to do. My pace of life is slower now and I feel very relaxed. There is no burden.
"I worked hard last year and I can take a breather now. I feel very happy and lucky."
Peh, who appeared to be in good spirits and was smiling throughout the 20-minute interview, spoke of how Qi is always looking out for her.
"As I am all alone at home when he is filming, he would ask me not to climb too high or walk too fast," she said.
"When he is around, he doesn't let me wash the dishes. I feel very spoilt."
Qi is not the only man in her life who worries when she is alone at home.
Peh said her father will call her phone "repeatedly" if she does not pick up his calls as he is anxious about her well-being.
"That makes me very nervous too," she added.
Pregnancy also posed other less serious challenges, like the choice of her slinky purple Stella McCartney silk gown for Star Awards.
She said it was not easy picking an outfit in her state, especially when the sizing could change within a few weeks.
"Usually, we would choose a dress a few months before the awards ceremony, but this time round, we picked this dress two to three days before," said Peh, who has put on 5kg since the start of her pregnancy.
"It's simple and classy and I could fit into it."
She also explained her style choice in a recent Instagram post on Star Awards: "(This year), I kept it simple because I already have all I need (Qi Yuwu)."
