Mum shields 22-year-old son from explicit scenes on TV

An overprotective woman was watching critically-acclaimed film The Master (2012) with her son, but explicit scenes kept coming up on the television.

Uncomfortable with the idea of seeing nudity with her children, she had to constantly get up during the movie to block the screen with a towel.

The problem? Her son is 22 years old and is openly gay - which she is aware of.

Her funny gesture has led her into becoming a meme sensation after her son shared the original photo of her with a towel on Reddit.

Now known as 'Towel Mum', she can be seen covering up other controversial pictures thanks to Photoshop and the power of the internet.

These include Kim Kardashian's naked magazine cover, Miley Cyrus' bold antics and politically sensitive film The Interview (2014).
