SINGAPORE - As if its line-up was not already impressive, the people behind Singapore Fashion Week (SFW) 2015 have announced two more additions to the five-day fashion extravaganza.
Joining the star-studded line-up are Australian designer Dion Lee and Indonesian couturier Tex Saverio.
Lee will be showcasing his Fall 2015 collection on the second day of SFW at the Tent@Orchard, said SFW organiser Mercury PR. The designer first made his mark in the fashion industry when he launched his eponymous label at the 2009 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
Since then, he has gained international acclaim and is hailed as one of the most influential designers to emerge from Down Under.
Known for his highly conceptual and modern designs, Lee's creations are currently stocked at luxury retailers such as Bergdof Goodman and Selfridges as well online e-commerce site Net-a-Porter.
Saverio will be making his debut on the SFW runway alongside homegrown online label Love, Bonito as the two collaborate to release the capsule collection, Tex Saverio for Love, Bonito.
They will jointly present a line of 20 looks including signature items like fit and flare skirts, column dresses as well as form-fitting jumpsuits.
Saverio founded his eponymous luxury couture line in 2010 and managed to attract international fame after Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence wore one of his creations when she starred in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Saverio went on to launch his first ready-to-wear collection in 2013 at the Paris Fashion Week.
Love, Bonito first hit the local fashion scene when it introduced itself online back in 2006. Ever since its inception, the homegrown label has expanded its offerings to include the likes of swimwear and also a premium line called COVET.
Both Lee and Saverio will join renowned designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, Thakoon and Victoria Beckham at SFW in less than a month's time from May 13 to 17.
