New home for SK-II spa

SK-II Boutique Spa by Senze Salus will be moving out of its black-and-white colonial premises in Scotts Road and will relocate to Shaw Centre by the end of this month.

The new 2,500 sq ft Boutique Spa at the newly renovated shopping centre will feature 12 treatment rooms as well as a lounge area. VIP customers - for example, those who visit frequently or have been long-time patrons - will be assigned personal relationship managers to help them plan skincare regimens. Prices start from $160 for a 60-minute hydrating treatment to $480 for a 100-minute lifting treatment.

The SK-II Boutique Spa is not run by SK-II but by Mr Calvin Ng, a former Procter & Gamble (P&G) executive who was responsible for introducing the SK-II brand to Singapore after it was bought over by P&G more than a decade ago. In 2004, he left P&G and started the spa business. The Boutique Spa is licensed by SK-II.

Compared with the facial treatments offered by SK-II at its department store facial cabins, those at the Boutique Spa are more elaborate, and high-tech machines are used concurrently with manual massages.

The SK-II Boutique Spa in Singapore was the first in the world to open in 2004. Another one has since opened at Millenia Walk. Only Hong Kong and South Korea have such boutique spas.
