Old kimono, new kimono

Old kimono, new kimono

Kimono Kollab, an initiative that repurposes old kimono fabrics into new fashion pieces and accessories, is back for its second edition after a successful debut last October.

The project has invited new labels to contribute, including Ametsubi, Ariel C., Vincent Wee, Nuboaix, Welovestitches, Sammax and Snupped, in addition to previous participants such as designers Thomas Wee and stylist Vik Lim.

The Kimono Kollab pop-up will be at Level 3 Takashimaya Department Store until Feb 10.

Around 250 pieces will be on display and prices range roughly from $50 for a phone case to $500 for a dress.
