Pond's make a comeback

American skincare brand Pond's, famous for its cold cream and founded in 1846, has returned to local shelves.

The brand pulled out of the Singapore market around the late 1990s after it was acquired by consumer goods giant Unilever.

In the past, Pond's banked on its cold cream that softens, moisturises, soothes irritations and protects skin from harsh weather conditions.

Pond's now has five lines of skincare, including the anti-ageing Age Miracle line that promises to plump skin, and lighten wrinkles and spots.

The other lines comprise the brightening Flawless White range, the moisturising Hydra Revital range, cleansers and a men's collection.

Available at selected Guardian and department stores, prices range from $9.90 for a tube of facial foam to $49.90 for the anti-ageing cream.
