SINGAPORE - Celebrity couple Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh are the proud parents of a brand new baby daughter.

Local media reported they welcomed their new addition on Friday, Aug 7, two days ahead of Singapore's Jubilee National Day.

Joanne gave birth to the baby at Mount Elizabeth Hospital around noon, and both mother and child are said to be well.

During a recent publicity event for Qi's latest film venture, 1965, he put on an apron and chef's hat together with the movie's director, Randy Ang, and cooked for 60 senior citizens from the People's Association.

Joanne also turned up at the restaurant with her parents to surprise him.

Joanne says that her husband cooks for her and helps with the housework.

Qi also revealed that he had hired a videographer to film the birth process in the delivery ward.
