Rebel with a cause

Miley Cyrus, notorious for her outlandish outfits and behaviour, has been named the new face of M.A.C Cosmetics' Viva Glam campaign. The advertisements and products are set to roll out early next year.

Started in 1994, the Viva Glam initiative aims to raise funds for those affected by HIV/Aids.

All proceeds from the sale of the new Viva Glam products - a hot pink lip gloss and lipstick - will go to the M.A.C Aids Fund.

Celebrities who have fronted the campaign include Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Pamela Anderson, as well as Rihanna, who is the current face.

To date, Viva Glam products have raised more than $330 million for the cause.
