DATUK Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin had planned to share the good news of her being pregnant with her fans today - her 37th birthday. However, she had a miscarriage instead, reported Mingguan Malaysia.
"Allah knows best. I have accepted the miscarriage with an open heart," said the singer.
Despite the devastating episode, she said she was glad to be able to get pregnant like other women.
"It gives us hope of getting children in the future but this depends on our rezeki (fortune).
"I don't regret anything because all of this has been predetermined. When I received the good news (of the pregnancy), I was still being tested by Allah.
"Sometimes, we believe this to be the best but Allah knows what it is better for us," she said.
She also said that she would be focusing less on her career this year so that she could become pregnant again.
"When Allah gave me a chance to get pregnant - although it was only for a short while - I took it as a big opportunity.
"I will be extra careful the next time," she said.
The Malay daily also reported that people were willing to pay between RM10,000 (S$3000) and RM40,000 for "Datuk" or "Datuk Seri" titles from fake royalty despite knowing that these were not recognised in the country.
"Most of them use the titles to cheat because people usually show respect to those with titles.
"These recipients would usually have the titles printed on their business cards or hang up pictures of their investiture ceremony at home or in their offices," said the source.
