Singer Stefanie Sun says sorry for over-editing selfie

Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun surprised many when she apologised and came clean about the flawless skin she had in an apparent 'no make-up' photo of herself.

Entertainment News QQ (QQ) reported that the 36-year-old posted a selfie on Wednesday and received many praises from her fans and followers on micro-blogging site Sina Weibo.

After receiving the positive comments of her skin, the mother-of-one immediately posted a second photo of herself with no edits.

QQ said she apologised for over-editing the first photo which made her skin look fair and flawless.

The second photo showed a slightly uneven skin tone along with some freckles and a bit of pigmentation.

The 36-year-old singer is known for her down-to-earth personality and casual dressing.

Last year, she was photographed at a local McDonald's eatery dressed in a tee-shirt and shorts. Netizens shared the photo and some even called her "aunty". Others said the photo showed that she lacked star quality.

Unfazed by their negative comments, Sun edited the photo and added a tiara on her head and colourful text which read: "So beautiful OK".
