Miacare's new acne patch is possibly one of the best inventions for DIY treatments of those dreaded spots.
Made from medical-grade hydrocolloid dressing that doctors use to speed up wound healing, the patch prevents bacteria contamination of the affected area while absorbing pus to flatten pimples.
This reduces the possibility of acne scarring.
Another bonus: the patch is made of an ultra-thin material (around 0.15mm) that "disguises" pimples as it appears invisible when stuck on the skin.
Think of it as a concealer in a patch, which will not settle into dry peeling skin and make the acne more obvious.
However, this product works best on acne located on the surface of the skin. It is not as effective in healing deep-seated cystic acne.
Available at selected Watsons stores, prices start from $4.50 for a box of 12 patches.
