Stake out these e-tailers as Black Friday approaches

It's less than a week to Black Friday, which marks the start of the Christmas shopping season in the United States.

While most retailers have not released full sale details, here are some websites that are likely to have enticing deals that even shoppers in Singapore can check out.

SHOPBOP.COM

The online retailer offers over 400 brands, such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Giuseppe Zanotti, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Vita Fede, Etre Cecile and Karen Walker, for women. Many of these brands are not available in brick-and-mortar stores in Singapore.

The best part about Shopbop is the free express international delivery service.

Last year, it offered a discount of between 15 and 25 per cent, depending on the value of purchase.

OVERSTOCK.COM

It has started a countdown to Black Friday, so you can expect good things ahead.

The store carries everything from electronics to clothing, but it is known for its wide home-furnishing selection. Sign up on the website to get information on Black Friday deals.

The site ships to Singapore.

ASOS.COM

You will find over 850 labels, mostly mid-tier fashion brands, such as Cheap Monday, River Island, Mango and Warehouse, for both men and women.

It also has an in-house label called Asos that is trendy and affordable.

Black Friday deals will be released closer to next Friday, but the e-tailer is already offering an additional 25 per cent discount on certain sale items.

Shipping to Singapore is free.

ZALORA.SG

From next Friday to Dec 1, Zalora - which is based here - will offer up to 80 per cent off and an extra 15 per cent off sale items. There will also be additional credit card discounts.

The sale will include more than 6,000 products from brands such as River Island, Mango and its in-house brand, Zalora.

NET-A-PORTER.COM

Women's luxury e-tailer Net-A-Porter carries a wide selection of luxury fashion brands including Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Saint Laurent and Tod's, as well as cult beauty brands like Tata Harper, Charlotte Tilbury and Ren Skincare.

Last year, it offered up to 50 per cent off selected items.

The site ships to Singapore.

NORDSTROM.COM

Outfit the whole family at Nordstrom. Apart from men and women, its apparel section is split into kids and juniors. The site ships to Singapore using Borderfree.

For bigger discounts, visit the Nordstrom Rack section (www.nordstromrack.com). Although it does not ship to Singapore, you can use an online concierge service such as comGateway to make purchases.
