Structured feminity

Structured feminity

Structure is the name of the game for Australian designer Toni Maticevski.

This season, be wowed by his use of draping, exaggerated detailing and volume to clothe the modern woman.

The sculptured looks, monochrome tones and texture lend a robotic edge to the collection that still hints at femininity.

"It started with the colour palette of the fabrics and textures. I wanted everything to feel fresh, delicate, feminine and fragile," says Maticevski in an interview with Urban. He was in town last week to launch the spring/summer 2015 collection at Club 21.

The Melbourne-based designer started his eponymous label in 1999 after working at Donna Karan in New York City and Cerruti in Paris.

Prices range from $1,000 to $10,000.
