Taiwanese actor Chang Chen welcomes baby girl

Taipei - Taiwanese actor Chang Chen has become a first-time daddy.

Yesterday morning, he posted a photograph of a baby's footprints on Weibo, writing: "The new member has checked in."

Jet Tone Films, his management company, confirmed the birth with a Weibo message saying: "Welcome the arrival of the little princess."

Congratulations also came from actress Shu Qi, who was once romantically linked to Chang, 38.

Her comment on the photo - "Woh, very big feet" - tickled actress Vicki Zhao, who also added her congratulations.

Chang married Chuang Wen-ju, 38, in November 2013. She was his assistant at film-maker Wong Kar Wai's Jet Tone Films.

Shu Qi attended the wedding.
