Taipei - It was a proposal no girl could refuse.
So Taiwanese singer Annie Yi said "yes" to her boyfriend Qin Hao, after the Chinese actor surprised her by kneeling among roses and candles in a sea-front restaurant in Turkey and popping the question as fireworks burst in the sky behind them.
Posting the pictures on Weibo on Wednesday, Yi, 45, said the proposal took place last July.
The two were yesterday in Venice for its film festival, where director Wang Xiaoshua's thriller Red Amnesia, starring 35-year-old Qin, was in competition.
They came out last February as a couple at the Berlin film festival, where Qin's film Blind Massage, directed by Lou Ye, premiered.
Yi's post came the day Apple Daily said she was seen at a clinic for in-vitro fertilisation treatment.
But she told Apple she had gone for a check-up as her health had taken a hit after she started work on her directorial debut The Queens, starring Korea's Song Hye Kyo.
Filming started in April and was to include shoots in Shanghai, Turkey and Beijing.
The former China's Got Talent judge divorced Taiwanese show host Harlem Yu, 53, in 2009. They have a son, aged 12.
