Tangs COO shares season trends

SINGAPORE - Trends are constantly evolving, it's hard to keep up sometimes.

Curious as to what are the hottest fashions trends in 2014? In a recent CNBC interview with Kevin Dyson, the COO of Tangs, he revealed some of the best-sellers in the Orchard Road department store.

As trends are often inspired by high profile personalities, a pair of nude heels by LK Bennett made it to the list after Kate Middleton was spotted wearing them.

From Rebecca Minkoff bags to phone accessories, Tangs tries to keep up with consumer needs and cater to them.

"This year, I believe this is the year that smartphone sales will surpass the population of the world. So it makes sense that phone accessories remain a very hot item in the store across all categories," Mr Dyson told CNBC.

Be it chargers, earphones or phone covers, camouflage items seem to be a favourite design of many when glamming up their phones this season.

Besides phone accessories, another trend that has been popular this season is accessories with gold or metallic accents.

"We have exclusive items. There's a bangle here in crystals as well as a beautiful semi-precious stone ring. Again, just to brighten up people's holidays."
