A taste of the fantastical with Alice in Wonderland-inspired fashion and beauty products

Going down a rabbit hole has never been such flirty, feminine fun.

Tim Burton created a vivid and psychedelic world filled with flamboyant characters in the 2010 fantasy adventure Alice In Wonderland.

While the Hollywood film-maker is not at the helm for the sequel Alice Through The Looking Glass - James Bobin takes over as director - his whimsical vision continues in the new chapter, which opens here today.

A few years have passed since Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) left the magical realm of Underland. Upon returning home, the heroine comes across a looking glass that takes her back.

There, she learns from her friends - the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), Absolem (Alan Rickman), the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry) and Miranda, the Queen of Hearts (Anne Hathaway) - that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is very ill, and the only way to save him is to return to the past to alter some events.

Several fashion and beauty brands have taken it upon themselves to bring you into this fantastical and mad world with some extraordinary collections.

Irregular Choice Alice In Wonderland

A pair of statement shoes is a must for all women, and there is no better way to stand out from the crowd than with Irregular Choice footwear.

The British designer brand's Alice In Wonderland collection is too cute for words. Love the Cheshire Cat? You can "wear" him in either high heels or flats.

Can't get enough of flowers? The Flowers Can't Talk heels give new definition to flower power with its lavish prints and intricate designs.

The collection is priced from $249 to $459, and is available at Superspace or www.wearto.com.

Melissa x Alice In Wonderland

A girl can never have too many shoes, and the popular Melissa footwear brand has created a range of everyday flats with just that touch of Wonderland magic.

The Melissa Ultragirl + Alice No Pais Das Maravilhas II flats come with hearts or Alice's iconic black bow, with insoles printed with playing cards or the "Drink me" potion.

The Wonderland collection also comes with a fun "mini-me" range for younger girls.

The Melissa x Alice In Wonderland collection is available at all MDREAMS boutiques and selected retailers, and online at mdreams.com.sg.

K-Palette x Disney Alice In Wonderland

The long-lasting and waterproof line consists of three eyeliners and three eye pencils. It is priced at $21.90 and is available at Watsons, Sasa, Guardian, BHG, Robinsons, John Little, Zalora, and Beautycarousel.com.

Carrie K. Key Hole and Time Capsule Collection

The Key Hole range is a reflection of the movie's theme on perspective, with unique earrings, rings and chokers in keyhole shapes.

The Time collection zooms in on new character Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), with pieces featuring clock gears and pendulums.

Priced from $258 to $1,188, both collections feature semiprecious gems in sterling silver and 14K rose gold or yellow gold, and are available at Carrie K. Atelier, Takashimaya, online at www.CarrieKRocks.com, and at TANGS from August.

The new palette features similarly high-pigmented eyeshadows in a myriad of rich, trippy colours.

The package alone is a sight to behold, decorated with flowers, butterflies and quotes from the sequel.

Each eyeshadow is named after characters such as Alice, Mad Hatter, Miranda, Iracebeth and Time.

The limited edition set ($88) is available at all Sephora stores, and the Urban Decay Free Standing Stores at VivoCity and Bugis Junction.
