Taylor swiftly breaks up with Tom Hiddleston after dating for 3 months

Watch out Taylor Swift fans, there might just be a new single dropping soon.

The pop princess has reportedly broken up with actor Tom Hiddleston after a three-month whirlwind romance, People reported.

According to the magazine, an inside source told them that the split was an amicable one. 

However there were rumours that Swift was uncomfortable with Hiddleston for wanting to make their relationship public. 

A source close to the couple told US Magazine that it was Swift who pulled the plug on their relationship. 

"Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."

Well, you could say that she wanted to keep things low-key, but it didn't work out. 

Since they were caught dancing together at the Met Gala in May, rumours of the pair getting it on were all abuzz on the Internet.

Shortly after, Swift announced her break-up with DJ Calvin Harris on June 1, and #Hiddleswift was official.

In the brief three months they were together, Swift and Hiddleston have been photographed enjoying their budding romance in Rhode Island, Italy and Australia, where the English actor was filming the upcoming movie Thor: Ragnorak.

While the couple have stayed mostly quiet, Hiddleston came out to address reports on the authenticity of his relationship with Swift.

"Look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy," Hiddleston told The Hollywood Reporter in July. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."

Two months on, it looks like Hiddleston spoke too soon.

Since news of their break-up broke this morning, netizens have been asking if a new song was on the cards.

Swift is notorious for writing songs about her long string of ex-boyfriends, and it looks like the break-up with Hiddleston could very well be her next source of inspiration.
