Victoria Beckham's charity sale

Victoria Beckham's charity sale

Victoria Beckham could have passed all her drool-worthy clothes on to her daughter, Harper, but she is not doing that.

The British fashion icon, designer and former Spice Girl has partnered discount e-luxury site The Outnet, the outlet arm of the Net-A-Porter group, to sell more than 600 personal items, including evening dresses, ready-to-wear pieces and jewellery.

They will be sold in a private online sale at www.theoutnet.com/vbcharitysale from Aug 20 to 24, with prices ranging from $420 to about $21,000. Those interested should register with the site before Aug 20.

Pieces in the auction include a neon yellow Roberto Cavalli gown, which Beckham wore to a pre-World Cup party in 2006, as well as a white Dolce & Gabbana dress, which she attended the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards in.

All proceeds from the sale will go to mothers2mothers, an organisation in Africa which trains mothers living with HIV to prevent the transmission of the disease to babies, improve their health and provide emotional support to other women with HIV.
