<p>The winners of the Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2017 were announced at Concorde Hotel on Friday night (Aug 25).</p>

<p>The pageant, which is open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PR) here, stirred controversy earlier in July when an unofficial photo of the finalists surfaced online.</p>

<p>Many netizens questioned the women's calibre and criticised their physical appearances by saying they were not attractive enough or did not look "Singaporean".</p>

<p>Six of the finalists are PRs, with three originally from China and three from Malaysia.</p>

<p>According to The Straits Times, three out of the four winners are students while the other is a financial consultant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The titles went to:</p>

<p>Miss Grand Singapore: Ms Crystal Lim, 22<br />
Miss Singapore Global Beauty Queen: Ms Amanda Li, 19<br />
Miss Singapore Chinatown: Christina Cai, 18<br />
Miss Singapore Tourism Queen: Tricia Koh, 25</p>

<p>They will go on to represent Singapore internationally.</p>
