Ammonia leak kills four in Mexico

OAXACA, Mexico - An ammonia gas leak at a oil plant left four people dead and 15 injured and forced the evacuation of 1,500 in southern Mexico Tuesday, authorities said.

Workers widening a road with heavy machinery accidentally hit a pipe belonging to the state run company Pemex and the gas spewed out, said the Oaxaca state civil protection chief, Manuel Maza.
