Animator dad adds awesome special effects to videos of son

As a child, many of us have imagined ourselves in the world of Star Wars, complete with our own lightsabers for battle.

For James Hashimoto, those dreams are a little bit closer to reality.

According to The New Paper, his father, who is an animator with Dreamworks, enhanced some videos of James playing with some cool special effects, transforming the young boy into "Action Movie Kid".

For example, one animation sees James create a portal after shooting a special gun, taken directly from the critically-acclaimed video game, Portal.

Another animation is taken out of the popular video game Mario Kart, and has James shoot a shell to take out an oncoming vehicle. And of course, there is one of James holding a lightsabre in the aisle of a supermarket.

The animations will ensure that when James watches these videos, it will look like he is actually inside his favourite Hollywood movies or video games.

The Youtube video ends with the line that "Action Movie Kid will return", suggesting that we will get to see more of James' "adventures" soon.
