BAZAAR Art Singapore holds art bazaar online

SINGAPORE - Continuing its work to showcase and support Singapore's emerging artists, Harper's BAZAAR Singapore has provided artists who took part in the recent BAZAAR Art Prize and exhibition with a platform to sell their work.

There are 57 art pieces up for sale on BAAZAR's website, including the works of the 12 finalists in the contest.

The pieces are from all four categories of the contest - Oil/Acrylic on Canvas, Ink/Watercolour on Paper, Photography, and Sculpture.

BAZAAR said in a statement on Friday (March 11) that the initiative also allows artists who were not selected as finalists a chance to showcase their work and is "an opportunity to monetise their art pieces to fund their future works".

BAZAAR launched the Art Prize Awards in August last year as a platform for emerging artists here to showcase their work, so that young artists have "a chance to be seen by art insiders and industry powerhouses". Over 150 entries were received.

In January this year, artist Hu Qiren was named the contest's overall winner for his sculpture "American Ginseng".
