Boy with Down Syndrome belts Whitney Houston hit, melts thousands of hearts

A video of a 9-year-old boy with Down Syndrome singing a classic Whitney Houston song has captured the hearts of many, after the clip went viral last week.

The boy, Dane Miller, is from Texas and is seen on video belting out Houston's 'I Have Nothing' in the backseat of his father's car.

The boy had first heard the song when he saw a documentary of Whitney Houston, after which his 13-year-old brother Dawson Miller downloaded the song and played it frequently.

And this is just one of many 'performances' by the boy.

According to Dane's mother, Danna Miller, singing his heart out is something that Dane does often, reported Inside Edition.

"He's been musical since around 2 years' old," Miller added. "He's been playing the drums. He sings. He loves music. He puts his whole heart into everything he does."

The video, which was posted by Dane's aunt, Jeanne Miller, on Facebook last week (July 25) has since garnered over 17 million views and over a quarter million comments.

Netizens all loved his cover of the song, and many hearts were melted.

The boy’s mother has since expressed how the overwhelming response has truly touched her heart. His aunt has also started a YouTube channel named “Amazing Dane” for his fans, and is planning to upload another video of Dane singing “Cray Button” by Family Force 5 soon, reported ABC News.
