Chilling video shows rescue of sex slave held in storage container

SOUTH CAROLINA - Newly released video shows investigators rescuing a woman who was held prisoner inside a storage unit for two months in South Carolina.

Spartanburg police and investigators found Kala Brown, 30, chained to the wall of the storage container on November 3, 2016.

Brown and her boyfriend, Charles Carver, went missing on Aug. 31.

A tip related to the disappearance of the couple led police to search the property.

Police arrested Todd Kohlhepp, the owner of the property on November 4th. Kohlhepp, 46, is a registered sex offender who worked as a realtor.

Kohlhepp pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexual assault in the Brown case, the Spartanburg Herald-Journal reported.

On May 26, he also pleaded guilty to seven murders and was given seven consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, avoiding the death penalty, local news reports said.
