Counterfeit ISIS-themed lego toys are being sold to Malaysian and Australian children for under US$10 (S$14).

The set consists of ISIS terrorist figurines battling uniformed police, reenacting terrifying images of brutality.

The ad for the fake toys illustrates gruesome narratives glorifying terrorism; a masked face dressed in black attire stands over a decapitated head while headscarf-borne characters are shown handling rifles.

An ISIS flag also appears to be making its mark alongside sticks of dynamite and launched weapons, reports Daily Mail.

According to The Christian Post, a Malaysian mother and schoolteacher, Mahnun Mat Isa, discovered the Islamic State terrorist figurines inside a 'Falcon Commandos' set that her youngest son had bought from a store in Taiping, north of Kuala Lumpur.

Mahnun Mat Isa reported the inappropriate toy set to the Islamic council and to police officials after finding her son playing with the set's 'terrorist' character holding a banner bearing the words 'Allah' and 'Muhammad'.

"I ask the authorities to not freely allow the entry of toys that touch on religious sensitivities in this country," Ms Mahnun said.

9new.com.au reported that the toy set, recommended for ages 6 and older, had a serial number on the box that was traced back to a manufacturer in China.

Danish company Lego has denied association with the horrific toy set.

"This product is not a LEGO product - nor are the bricks in the set LEGO bricks," spokesperson Camilla Pederson said in an International Business Times report.

"As a company dedicated to inspiring and developing children, we would naturally never make a product like this."
