Former KGB headquarters to be opened to the public

Once a prominent symbol of totalitarian power, the KGB headquarters in Latvia will be opened to the public with exhibitions and guided tours.

During the fifty years of the occupation of Latvia by the Soviet Union, the Soviet Committee for State Security (KGB) headquarters in Riga was regarded with much fear and dread.

Soon, visitors will be able to take a closer look at all the elements that once created the power and awe. They can go on guided tours inside the imposing building popularly known as the Corner House.
